Good book, poor cover.
I ordered the pocket version of this book and recieved a large brick. The cover was also just a paper wrapper, the book itself was just plain blue. A bit dissapointed but I'm exited to read it.

I ordered the pocket version of this book and recieved a large brick. The cover was also just a paper wrapper, the book itself was just plain blue. A bit dissapointed but I'm exited to read it.

If you've never read a self-help book before or gone to therapy, I think this book is a great one to start with. Julie makes you understand that you are not alone in your emotions and has some great tools to help you get started on your journey of self-improvement.
Why I gave this 3 stars is because there are parts of this book that were a bit too general. Parts where she explains the problem without any tools, advice or examples. I think she is trying to catch a wide net of readers and as such some parts are just not detailed enough. It is kind strange as some chapters have lots of tools and examples, it made it feel like the book was sometimes incomplete.
As it is general I do think this is the type of book to return to when you are feeling a certain way. You can jump into any chapter at any point, re-read and try out the exercises, the ones that are available.

I think everyone should read this book, I bought the Audio version first and then went back and bought a paper copy because I loved it so much. I learned so much and it really helped me process some lingering feelings.

Lo recomiendo por si no sabes cómo empezar, el libro trae ejercicios para justamente sentirse mejor. Sin embargo, lo recomiendo como ayuda de la terapia

Excellent psychological book about different challenges people face in their lives. Very easy and pleasant to read. A lot of knowledge, tips and techniques on how to deal with different situations . Personally I bought it to get more insight on anxiety and panic attacks which unfortunately in my opinion were not covered fully, however book was very pleasant to read and really enjoyed going through different topics. Really helpful book and must read for ANYONE who cares about their mental health or/and would like to get more knowledge and coping skills.

I would like to say a very big thank you to dr Julie for writing this book. The book has opened up a lot of areas that had not been dealt with and with the help of the toolkits and working through I have managed to clear a lot of debris, relationships, passing of a parent and work related issues I thought I had under control, but I hadn’t even scratched the surface, she made me look deeper, there were a lot of tears, but the relief and understanding of how I now look back at those times I don’t feel afraid or sad or a failure, I feel rejuvenated, cleansed and most importantly of all I can move forward with tools that help me everyday
I fully recommend this book to anybody who is struggling,
