This is GOLD for any writer. With brilliant advice on how the publishing industry works, how to submit your manuscripts, do’s and don’ts and so much more.

It lists SO many publishers and tells you what genres they publish and in what formats they want for submissions. You then have all the contact details you need like email and postal addresses. So you can easily send off your work to a number of different publishers. It features small boutique publishers all the way through to the big ones.

It is the Bible for Writers! I know a lot about self-publishing but am looking to submit a manuscript with a specific theme and this helped me hugely. I definitely recommend reading all the tips and articles first, many written by successful Authors as it will ensure what you send, right down to your cover letter thus you the best chance possible.

This gets republished and update yearly so it’s always up to date. It’s something every single writer should invest in (unless you are blessed to have a publishing deal already). It covers of the pros and cons of seeking an Agent to represent your work and where to find one too.

I’d particularly encourage self-published Authors to take a look and if it’s what you want find the way to get your work in front of agents and publishers.

If you write children’s books there is a separate version just for Children’s writers that I own also. I cannot recommend buying this enough. 5 huge stars! A priceless tool for any Writer looking to get published.

As a freelance writer this is my ‘Bible’ as it contains details of where submissions are accepted. Different categories for different topics makes it easy to follow. Lots of useful information for new writers on which markets to approach and how to present manuscripts. I confess I don’t buy a new copy every year because there are links to websites of publishers so it’s easy to check those if the Yearbook isn’t the latest. A must have reference book for anyone who is creative, whether it’s writing or art, this will give invaluable advice.
