This product is awful ! It can’t split logs struggles to make small pieces of kindling I’ve tried it in 3 different drills each on both settings and at the least it’s dangerous and should be removed from sale

Great quality, and grips on to wood really well to split - however be prepared for your wrists to get dislocated once it goes in as far as it can.

The device is nicely made, and has a sks large, sks medium and ordinary drill attachment - all made with nice High Speed Steel. When you drill the wood for splitting, the drill bites in really readily. So far so good. Then the wood either splits (not often), or it jams in the wood. When it jams, the drill then lurches with full force; either that or the whole chunk of wood rotates. Either way it’ll yank it out of your hand.

I’m 75-80kg, and regard myself as pretty strong, but it almost pulled my arms out of their sockets.

So summary of the product is that it’s great quality, but a flawed design, in my opinion.

Watched many videos online showing these being used so thought I would try one out. I have a powerful drill and a large store of two year seasoned hardwood logs, I thought this could help me make kindling from some of them.

Quality is very poor, the thread for screwing in the shanks was rough and needed a lot of effort to screw in but the worst thing was when using it. On the very first go the drill embedded about an inch into the log and tried to stick, at this moment the shank twisted (see pic). The metal used is very soft and not up to the job, I didn't try again as the shank would have snapped. Packaged it up and sent back for refund.
Avoid.

I bought this drill bit to use with my Bosch GBH 2-24 D SDS Plus Rotary Hammer Drill and it failed on first use. I had really tightened the SDS shank as much as I could to the head and used the drill on a relatively soft log. But the drill and shank connection is simply not well enough designed/made and within a few seconds the shank became twisted and impossible to remove from the drill head. So my recommendation to you is: don't buy this item and look elsewhere instead for a better solution.

I have never had to return an item to Amazon before for operational failure like this. I guess there is always a first.
