some very good essays

For me, the best parts of \"All the Strange Hours\" were the essays on Eiseley's life as a drifter.

Eiseley Autobiography is Great

For those who are already familiar with Eiseley's Immense Journey or Firmament of Time, All the Strange Hours provides more insight and information about the author's journey from childhood poverty and illness through accomplishments in young adulthood like the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Sociology together with reflections on the 1940's and 1950's in America when the author was coming of age and the work of certain anthropologists whose ideas inspired Eiseley to pursue the same career.

Eiseley's Excavation of a Life, Packed with Life

Loren Eiseley, one of the 20th Century's most amazing writer-poets, weaves into his own story that of post-glacial man and other archaeological wonders and mysteries.

Marvelous, Mystical, Disconcerting Read

Loren Eiseley was an anthropologist who's book The Immense Journey, a humanistic, beautifully written story of evolution, has been widely read and praised.
