Five Stars
Fascinating book.
much more readable/written for the layperson than Metzinger's other excellent work, "Being No One
Much more readable/written for the layperson than Metzinger's other excellent work, "Being No One.
A marvelous work on a fantastically intriguing subject!
Not a light read, but not a purely academic dry read either.
A Subjective Review
Having read several dozen books on consciousness, I agree with many other reviewers who say that this is one of the best.
Thoroughly enjoyed this
Metzinger's \"The Ego Tunnel\" is a curious exploration into the vagaries of neuroscience.
Tunnel Vision and Nothing Buttery
Metzinger has presented a very comprehensive summary of neuroscience of the self through the prisim of his theory, the phenomenal self.
Excelent contribution by one of the leaders in the field of consciousness studies
Metzinger has written a very good summary and intelligible exposition of his theories on consciousness and the self.
TEN-DOLLAR WORDS
This book is so technical I couldn't understand a thing it said.
Rather confusing, but I think it's worth the struggle
I did not find this an easy read, but that may well be because of the topics the book covers.
If I spoke about these ideas in public, they would throw a net over me!
I really enjoyed The Ego Tunnel and you can tell that Thomas Metzinger is a highly gifted and very imaginative 'neurophilosopher' .
